KNOWLEDGE SHARING FOR MORE SUSTAINABLE INDOOR ENVIRONMENTS

1-2 OCTOBER, 2015

BÅSTAD, SWEDEN

2 days of
knowledge sharing
lectures, focus seminars
& inspiring connections

Thank you for joining us!

In the beginning of October we met in beautiful Båstad for an in-depth discussion on sustainable acoustic comfort. Thank you all for sharing knowledge and your expertise. Having so many brilliant minds in one room was truly inspiring.

There are so many different aspects on room acoustics to consider and there are so many things left to be done. Improving the sound environment will truly have a sound effect on people. It will help patients in hospitals in their recovery, it will enhance students possibility to hear what the teacher is saying and performance in offices will improve. Attainable goals that will have a huge positive impact in our every day lives.

EIAS2015 is over. Now the real work begins. Let’s join together and use what ever means we have at our disposal to put room acoustic comfort on the agenda and make the world sound a little better. Thank you all. Let’s keep in touch. Check out videos from the lectures www.eias2015.org/trailer

mapVenueHotelSkansenHotel Skansen in Båstad is one of northern Europe’s most special hotels for events and conferences. It is full of nice places to meet and socialise between the seminars and lectures; the Tennis pavilion’s lounge, the Japanese pool on Kallbadhuset’s terrace and the nature-inspired atrium. Right outside you have the beautiful beach and the idyllic harbor, inside you find cosy fireplaces, SPA and the wonderful Restaurant Sand.

About the event

EIAS 2015 is one of few events completely focusing on room acoustics. Our speakers shared the latest knowledge and the best practice.

When?

The seminar was arranged 1-2 October and gave an opportunity to connect with top acousticians and other international experts in the beautiful conference- and SPA Hotel Skansen in Båstad.

Recommendation

“I like the idea of connecting people from different disciplines, as at EIAS. Business relationships are extremely important when it comes to understanding how buildings can be environmentally sustainable and, at the same time, have good acoustics.
– I’m really looking forward to meeting interesting people and listening to interesting talks and ideas at EIAS.”

Trevor Cox
– Professor of the Acoustics Department,
University of Salford, UK
